Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans Israel Scholarship Guidelines

Terms

I/We understand that the Edie & Paul Rosenblum Gift of Israel Program will provide a grant of up to $6,500 for my child’s trip to Israel, along with an additional $750 from my synagogue (if participating). This support will be paid directly to the trip organizer.

I/We agree to reimburse the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans (JFGNO) for any funds paid on behalf of my child should they withdraw from the trip. If the total of all scholarships, financial aid, or other financial support, including funds from the Gift of Israel grant, are greater than the total cost of the program (including fees and transportation) then the grant will be reduced so that the total package will be less than or equal to the total cost of the program.

JFGNO retains the right to limit the number of grants given each year. Only one grant will be made per student. Applicants must use the grant in the year it is given for an organized Israel youth experience.

The difference in cost between the program chosen and the grant from JFGNO will be the responsibility of the person requesting the grant. If the applicant is unable for any reason to attend the program and is entitled to a refund, the refund shall be applied first to repay JFGNO to the extent of the grant.

Parents or guardians of students granted funds under this program release JFGNO from any liability under any circumstances for any problems, and/or injury, etc., resulting from participation in the program chosen by the applicant.

JFGNO reserves the right to make any changes without prior notice.
